eScriptorium and digitalisation – workshop with Dr Massimiliano Carloni

In October, the DEPTH network successfully executed a two day workshop on digital methodology and tools to use for handling material digitally.

Dr Massimiliano Carloni went through the basics of the transcription programme eScriptorium, as well as showed how to use coding in combination with LLM:s to transcribe early modern written material.

The workshop generated many interesting cases and quieries, and was insightful to everyone attending.

Thank you to Dr Massimiliano Carloni for holding an interesting, hands-on and clarifying workshop, helping us navigate through the jungle that is digital research tools.
